The Gritti dynasty is famous for being one of the most important Venetian spices importers of all time. Still, it is also a family of politicians: the Doge of Venice Andrea Gritti and his son Alvise Gritti, famous merchant and diplomate.

The passion and long-term expertise in perfume ingredients led Luca Gritti to the world of niche fragrances. Initially a successful producer of high-end perfume brands, he launched Gritti Venetia in 2009 and made a revolution in the niche fragrance business, giving it a touch of luxury perfume: not only the highest selection of raw materials but the attention to each detail, from White Collection hand-made caps to Gritti Privé’s velvet boxes.
